The Carolina Panthers on Monday signed free agent safety Trenton Robinson to a one-year contract.
Robinson played the past three seasons in Washington. Last season, he played in nine games, making seven starts before being placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
San Francisco drafted Robinson in the sixth round in 2012. He also spent time on the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad in 2013.
He has played in 38 career games with eight starts and recorded 88 tackles, four passes defensed, two interceptions and a fumble recovery.
