Los Angeles Clippers F Branden Dawson jailed on domestic-violence charge

Los Angeles Clippers rookie forward Branden Dawson was arrested on Sunday morning on suspicion of felony domestic violence, according to published reports.

Dawson was being held on $50,000 bail. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department listed an arrest time of 8:30 a.m. PT and a booking at 9:50.

According to the Orange County Register, the 23-year-old Dawson was still in custody when the team's game with Cleveland tipped off at 12:30 p.m. PT on Sunday afternoon.

Dawson was recalled from the D-League's Erie BayHawks on Saturday. The former Michigan State player appeared in three games for the Clippers earlier this season.

Dawson could face a suspension at least 10 more games by the NBA if convicted.
