Hockey Hall of Famer Bill Gadsby, who played 20 seasons in the NHL, died at the age of 88 on Thursday.
Gadsby's death was announced by the Detroit Red Wings, who he played for from 1961-66 and served as coach from 1968-70.

Gadsby, who had 130 career goals and 568 points, also played for the Chicago Blackhawks from 1946-54 and New York Rangers from 1954-61. He was a three-time first-team All-Star and a four-time second-team All-Star.
He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1970.
