Denver Broncos cut TE Owen Daniels, OG Louis Vasquez

Two offensive starters -- guard Louis Vasquez and tight end Owen Daniels -- were released by the Denver Broncos, who continued what is becoming a massive offseason makeover.

Denver will have a new starting quarterback after Peyton Manning's retirement and free agent defensive lineman Malik Jackson said Tuesday he is headed for Jacksonville on a whopper of a free-agent deal. The Broncos are bracing for bigger changes with linebacker Danny Trevathan and running back C.J. Anderson ready to hit the market Wednesday.

Long snapper Aaron Brewer was also released Tuesday.

"These decisions are never easy, but we appreciate the contributions Louis, Owen and Aaron made to our team, especially during our Super Bowl run," Broncos Executive Vice President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway said.

Vasquez started 47-of-48 possible regular-season games and all seven postseason contests for the Broncos from 2013-15 after being signed by the club as an unrestricted free agent from San Diego.

Daniels, who was signed by Denver as an unrestricted free agent from Baltimore last year, ranked third on the Broncos in receptions (46), receiving yards (517) and receiving touchdowns (three) during his lone season with the team.
