INDIANAPOLIS - The first hurdle for draft prospects at the NFL Combine? Measurements. And Thursday morning, Cal quarterback Jared Goff passed ... barely.

Goff measured at 6-feet-4 exactly and 215 pounds, which are positive numbers and the same height and weight he was listed at all season on the California roster. His weight is a tad leaner than ideal, but with his 6-4 frame, scouts believe Goff will continue to fill out with bulk, especially his lower body.

But the most anticipated number for Goff was the hand size. He measured at nine inches exactly, which isn't an ideal number for quarterbacks, but also not a deal-breaker. Ideally, NFL teams are hoping for 9 1/2 or 10-inch hands, but not coming in below nine inches was important for Goff and should keep him in the conversation to possibly be the first quarterback drafted.

Quarterbacks in recent years to measure around the nine-inch mark: Ryan Tannehill (9-inches, 2012), Derek Carr (9 1/8-inches, 2014) and Colin Kaepernick (9 1/8-inches, 2011). To measure hand size, the hand is placed palm down against a flat surface and scouts measure from thumb to pinky.
