Rutgers freshman standout Corey Sanders has been suspended for two weeks due to a violation of team rules, coach Eddie Jordan announced Monday.
Sanders will sit out the next four games. The 6-foot-2 guard leads all Big Ten freshman with a 16.2 scoring average.

"Although I am disappointed to announce this suspension, I believe that it will serve as a valuable learning experience for Corey," Jordan said in a statement. "The team will continue to work hard in his absence and looks forward to his return."
Rutgers (6-19, 0-12) has lost 27 consecutive conference games.
