Former major-league outfielder Walt "No Neck" Williams has died due to a heart attack. He was 72.
Williams died last Saturday in Abilene, Texas, according to his wife.
Williams played 10 major-league seasons - six of them with the Chicago White Sox - but was best known for his nickname.
He stood just 5-foot-6 and didn't have much of a neck, hence the nickname.
Williams didn't like the nickname, according to his wife, but it stuck throughout his career.
