Thaddeus Moss, the son of seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Randy Moss, has committed to North Carolina State.

The younger Moss, a four-star prospect for the 2016 class at Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek High, is a 6-foot-4, 240-pound tight end. He chose the Wolfpack over UCLA, Texas A&M, Georgia, USC, Nebraska and Arizona State. He had narrowed his list to N.C. State, Texas A&M and UCLA.

"It just felt right," Thaddeus Moss told ESPN.com on Saturday. "It's close to home, it felt right, and they kept it real with me from day one. N.C. State was the first team to offer, and loyalty was rewarded."

Randy Moss originally committed to Notre Dame. After legal troubles there and during a redshirt season at Florida State, he ultimately starred as a wide receiver at Marshall.

"For the most part, he really let me go about the process on my own," Thaddeus Moss said of his father. "I asked for his opinion and for him to sit down with the coaches and talk, but I asked for that these last few weeks. He voiced his opinion, and we had in-depth conversations about what was best for me and what was best for the family."
