Indianapolis Colts add Greg Williams as defensive backs coach

The Indianapolis Colts hired Greg Williams as defensive backs coach on Wednesday.

Williams replaces Mike Gillhamer, who was let go after the 2015 season ended as one of several changes to head coach Chuck Pagano's staff.

Williams was with the San Diego Chargers for the past seven seasons as assistant linebackers coach for four years and assistant defensive backs coach for three.

In San Diego, Williams worked under defensive coordinator John Pagano, the brother of Chuck Pagano.

Williams' 13 years of coaching experience includes one season as a secondary and defensive graduate assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, two seasons at Arkansas Tech as defensive backs coach and recruiting coordinator, one season as an intern at Arizona State and two years working with wide receiverss and then defensive backs at College of DuPage.
