FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Linebackers Jamie Collins and Jerod Mayo of the New England Patriots left Saturday's divisional playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the third quarter because of injuries.

Collins, New England's leading tackler during the regular season, left because of a back injury while Mayo, also a starter, left the game with a shoulder problem.

Neither was officially ruled out for the rest of the game, but were not back on the field for the Chiefs' first possession of the fourth quarter.

Center Bryan Stork of the Patriots suffered an ankle injury in the first half but returned to the game after halftime.
