The Chicago Bulls stalwarts -- centers Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah and forward Taj Gibson -- could be on the trading block, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday.
None of the three players is tied to the team long-term. Noah is set to be a free agent following the season, and Gasol could become a free agent next summer if he declines a player option. Gibson is signed through the 2016-17 season.
Noah, 30, sustained a minor tear in his left shoulder this week, and he is expected to be sidelined two to four weeks. He is averaging 4.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists 22.3 minutes per game this season.
From 2009-10 through 2013-14, Noah averaged a double-double in points and rebounds.
Gasol, 35, is producing 15.9 points and 10.8 rebounds in 30.5 minutes through 25 games this season. The scoring average is the second lowest in his 15-season NBA career.
Gibson, 30, is putting up 7.2 points and six rebounds per game, both stats his lowest figures in three years.
Thanks to a current three-game losing streak, the Bulls are 15-11 and in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
