The Denver Broncos released their weekly media packet on Tuesday and Peyton Manning is atop the depth chart at quarterback ahead of Brock Osweiler.

The designation is no indication Manning will start in Week 16 on "Monday Night Football" against the Cincinnati Bengals. He returned to practice last week but was inactive at Pittsburgh.

Osweiler has started four consecutive games but lost two consecutive starts and has a left shoulder injury.

Head coach Gary Kubiak downplayed Osweiler's shoulder injury on Monday and said any decision on the quarterback position would be made after conferencing with Manning, Broncos vice president John Elway and Osweiler.

The Broncos are 10-4 but could still miss the playoffs with two losses to end the season, including Monday's game against Cincinnati and Week 17, when the Chargers are in Denver to close out the regular season.
