Green Bay Packers cornerback Sam Shields was ruled out for Sunday's game at the Oakland Raiders after he did not clear the concussion protocol, head coach Mike McCarthy said Friday.

Shields suffered a concussion in the second quarter against the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday.

Rookie cornerbacks Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins will see more action during the game, McCarthy said.

"The young defensive backs have done a good job," McCarthy said. "They've had the whole week to prepare, so we'll be ready to go."

Wide receiver Davante Adams was added to the injury report following Thursday's practice because of a foot injury.

Wide receiver Ty Montgomery, who hasn't played since Week 6 on Oct. 18, was unable to practice Thursday after a setback with his ankle injury.
