EARTH CITY, Mo. - St. Louis Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins did not participate in practice Wednesday after entering the concussion protocol during Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Jenkins was knocked out twice by teammates during the game, the first by safety T.J. McDonald and the second by linebacker/safety Mark Barron.

Meanwhile, tight end Lance Kendricks, who also entered the concussion protocol Sunday, was able to participate Wednesday on a limited basis. Head coach Jeff Fisher said, "Lance did well today. He exerted. He's really ahead on the protocol. He did well. It looks like he is going to be OK."

However, Fisher said Jenkins "did not" do well, and he didn't practice Wednesday. Added Fisher, "So, we're going to be day-to-day on Janoris. It's hard for me to predict, but we're hoping Janoris comes around."

Notes: Cornerback Trumaine Johnson, who has missed the last two games because of a thigh injury, was back on the practice field Wednesday. Johnson was limited and Fisher said he is hopeful Johnson will be able to play Sunday against the Lions. ... Kicker Greg Zuerlein, who has missed the last two games because of a hip injury, participated in in practice Wednesday and "kicked well," according to Fisher. Zuerlein will rest Thursday and then kick Friday with the hope he will be able to play Sunday against Detroit. Zuerlein said his hip had "been tight for a couple weeks" before injuring it on the Friday before the Nov. 29 game at Cincinnati. Zuerlein said Wednesday he felt "pretty good" and acknowledged that the coaches don't want me to kick as much (in practice) as I have been."
