Philadelphia Eagles' Chip Kelly, Buffalo Bills' LeSean McCoy won't be shaking hands

PHILADELPHIA --In a conference call with the Buffalo media Wednesday in advance of Sunday's game between the Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles, Eagles coach Chip Kelly said that he would love to shake the hand Bills running back LeSean McCoy before the game.

But McCoy, who was traded by Kelly in March after rushing for nearly 3,000 yards over the previous two seasons and who has basically suggested that Kelly is a racist, said that's not going to happen. "He knows that's not going to happen," McCoy said. "I know that's not going to happen. We're not going to shake no hands. I'm not going to get into an argument with (Kelly) or fight with him. But I just don't think we need to be shaking hands."

--The Eagles have had seven players suffer concussions since the start of the regular season, including running back Ryan Mathews, who has missed the last three games, and quarterback Sam Bradford. Bradford suffered his in Week 10 against Miami. He said it wasn't nearly as severe as two previous ones -- his sophomore year in high school and at the University of Oklahoma. Bradford on the one he suffered in high school in 2003:

"We were playing on that old-school Astroturf, where it was kind of like carpet on top of concrete. I got hit earlier in the game, like on a two-point play or something. I think I might've gotten dinged then, because a couple of my teammates told me later, 'Hey, you were kind of out of it.' Then I went back in and took another hit where I just kind of fell back onto my head. After that, I just had no clue what was going on. It was pretty scary. I was only 15 or 16 at the time. I couldn't remember anything. I didn't know who people were. It was kind of freaky."

--The Eagles released veteran wide receiver Miles Austin earlier this week and signed linebacker Steven Means off of Houston's practice squad. Austin had just 13 catches, and the Eagles already had promoted a young wideout, Jonathan Krause, from their practice squad. The Eagles wanted to add another young outside linebacker. "We decided we really liked Means," Chip Kelly said. "We had him in here for a workout. We were afraid Houston was going to put him up (on their 53-man roster) and then we wouldn't get an opportunity to get him."

--NT Bennie Logan didn't practice Wednesday. He is nursing a knee injury. He woke up Sunday morning before the Patriots game and had problems with his knee. But he still played, and likely will play Sunday against the Bills.

--RB Ryan Mathews was a limited practice participant Wednesday. It was his first appearance on the practice field in three weeks. He has missed the last three games with a concussion. He is expected to play this week, but his role could be limited.

--QB Sam Bradford practiced fully Wednesday. Bradford still hasn't completely healed from the sprain to his non-throwing shoulder that he suffered a few weeks ago. But it didn't bother him in Sunday's win over the Patriots.

--RT Lane Johnson practiced fully Wednesday despite a lingering AC joint sprain in his shoulder. He took a pain-killing shot for it before Sunday's game and had no problems.

--CB Eric Rowe is nursing a minor ankle injury, but practiced fully Wednesday and is expected to play this week. He got his first career start Sunday against New England.
