Report: NFL Salary cap could increase $10 million

The NFL salary cap could rise $10 million to $150 million in 2016, ESPN reported Friday.

The 32 teams were informed by the league this week that the salary cap could reach $153.4 million in March 2016 when free agency begins, according to ESPN.

Official figures will not be released until March.

The 2015 salary cap is $143.28 million.

If the cap reaches $150 million, it will have doubled since 2003 when it was $75 million.
