LAS VEGAS, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- A postseason disappearance made Dale Earnhardt Jr. invisible, but his car's new paint scheme is anything but hidden.

On Wednesday, Earnhardt Jr. revealed the No. 88 Axalta Chevrolet SS in Las Vegas at The Cromwell.

Axalta moves its sponsorship from Jeff Gordon to Earnhardt Jr. for the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

Axalta extended its partnership with Hendrick Motorsports to 2018, while it expanded its number of races from 10 to 13, according to NASCAR.com.

"I really love how bright and beautiful the car is," Earnhardt Jr. told Hendrickmotorsports.com. "I think it will stand out on the racetrack really well."

"This is going to be an easy one to find. Hopefully it's up front."

Earnhardt Jr., 41, has earned $94,884,587 over a 17 year career in NASCAR Sprint Cup.

He won three Sprint Cup races last year, while placing in the top five 16 times and top 10 22 times.
