Randle went down after apparently getting poked in the eye by Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari with 3:38 remaining in the second quarter. After being examined briefly on the bench by Lakers' head trainer Gary Vitti, Randle went to the locker room for further treatment. Forward Brandon Bass replaced him.

Randle had 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting in 14 minutes before the injury.
