WR Brandon Lloyd announces retirement

Wide Receiver Brandon Lloyd announced his retirement on Thursday after playing 11 NFL season.

Lloyd, 34, caught 399 passes for 5,989 yards and 36 touchdowns while playing for six different teams.

"I am so thankful for the years I spent in the NFL," Lloyd said in a statement. "I do not have one regret, and I am blessed to leave the game in such a healthy and happy place. I will do all I can to positively represent the league and its players for the rest of my life."

Lloyd's best season came in 2010 with the Denver Broncos when he had an NFL-best 1,448 receiving yards while also setting career highs with 77 receptions and 11 touchdowns.

Lloyd played for the San Francisco 49ers in 2014 and caught 14 passes for 294 yards and one score.
