NFL won't punish Ndamukong Suh for helmet incident

The NFL won't discipline Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh after he appeared to kick off the helmet of Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris.

NFL spokesman Michael Signora confirmed Monday there will be no action taken against Suh after the play was reviewed by the senior football operations staff.

There was contact between the players, but "Suh's action was not deemed a kick," Signora said.

During the second quarter of the Dolphins' 17-10 victory over the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Suh tackled Morris. While getting up and returning to the huddle, Suh's right leg contacted Morris' facemask, knocking off the helmet.

Following the game, Suh claimed not to remember the incident.

"I tackled him plenty of times during the game, so I'm not really certain what you are speaking of," Suh said.

Suh, who signed a six-year, $114 million contract with the Dolphins as a free agent in March, has been punished by the NFL multiple times for player-safety violations. In all, Suh has lost $420,669 due to fines and suspensions in his career, according to ESPN.com.
