NBA notebook: Indiana Pacers acquire Timberwolves' Budinger

The Indiana Pacers acquired forward Chase Budinger from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for forward Damjan Rudez.

The 6-foot-7, 218-pound Budinger has six seasons of NBA experience. He was originally drafted by Detroit in the second round (44th overall) of the 2009 NBA Draft. He was traded on draft night to Houston where he played three seasons before being traded to Minnesota in 2012. He has averaged 8.5 points per game in his NBA career.

Rudez played one season with the Pacers after signing as a free agent last July. The 29-year-old Rudez had previously played professionally in Europe. He played in 68 games, starting twice, and averaged 4.8 points per game.

---The Detroit Pistons signed former San Antonio Spurs center Aron Baynes to a multi-year contract.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but the deal is reportedly for three years and worth $20 million.

Baynes, appeared in 70 games (17 starts) with last season, averaging career highs in points (6.6 per game), rebounds (4.5 per game) and minutes (16.0 per game). He recorded more points, rebounds, assists and blocks last season than in his previous two NBA seasons combined.

---The Washington Wizards officially announced the signing on forward Alan Anderson to a contract.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Anderson agreed to a one-year, $4 million contract, according to reports from multiple news outlets.

The 6-foot-6 Anderson averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 74 games, including 19 starts, for the Brooklyn Nets last season. He averaged 11.1 points and 3.5 rebounds during the playoffs.

---The Denver Nuggets re-signed forward Wilson Chandler to a restructured multi-year contract.

The deal is worth $46 million over four years, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

The 6-foot-8 Chandler played in 78 games and started 75 for the Nuggets last season, averaging 13.9 points and 6.1 rebounds.
