Tim Duncan signed a one-year, $5 million deal with a player option for the 2016-17 with the San Antonio Spurs.

Duncan took a 50 percent paycut to return to the Spurs. Duncan will turn 40 in April and spent his entire career in San Antonio, the franchise that drafted him first overall in the 1997 draft.
