National League Game Summary - St. Louis at Philadelphia

Randal Grichuk hit a pair of home runs and drove in four as the St. Louis Cardinals thumped the Philadelphia Phillies, 10-1, in the second of a three-game set.

Jason Heyward drove in a pair of runs, while John Lackey (6-4) allowed a run on five hits with a pair of walks and three strikeouts over seven innings for the Cardinals, who have won seven of their last nine games.

The Cardinals have outscored the Phillies 22-5 in the first two games of this set.

Cody Asche drove in the only run of the game for the Phillies, who have lost 11 of their past 12. Aaron Harang (4-9) was tagged for four runs on seven hits in six innings and has lost a career-high six straight starts.

The Phils got on the board with two outs in the second when Asche hit his third home run of the season, a solo shot into the seats in right.

St. Louis, though, tied the game in the fourth as Jhonny Peralta singled to start the frame and later scored on Yadier Molina's double.

In the sixth, the Cards went ahead after back-to-back singles from Heyward and Molina were followed by Grichuk's homer to center for a 4-1 lead.

The Cards padded their lead in the seventh on Heyward's RBI single, and added four more in the eighth on an RBI single from Xavier Scruggs, sacrifice fly by Kolten Wong and two-run double from Heyward for a 9-1 lead.

Grichuk smacked his second homer of the game in the ninth to account for the final score.
