National League Game Summary - Los Angeles at San Diego

Adrian Gonzalez drove in two runs in the 12th inning to help the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-2 win over the San Diego Padres on Sunday.

Alberto Callaspo doubled with one out off Dale Thayer (2-2), then Enrique Hernandez and Joc Pederson walked to load the bases. Thayer was able to keep the game tied by getting Alex Guerrero to line out to right, but Gonzalez picked his teammate up with a looping single into center that plated a pair.

Kenley Jansen came on in the ninth and nailed down his ninth save of the season for Los Angeles, which has won five of its last six. Josh Ravin (2-0) picked up the win after two scoreless innings of relief.

The Padres got to Dodgers starter Mike Bolsinger in the fifth with a pair of runs off the bat of Justin Upton. Padres starter James Shields started the rally with a two-out single to right and Will Venable followed with a single that put runners at the corners. After a walk to Yangervis Solarte, Upton grounded a single up the middle that made it 2-0.

Matt Kemp walked in the next at-bat to reload the bases and Bolsinger's day came to an end. J.P. Howell came on and got Yonder Alonso on a groundout to end the inning.

Andre Ethier cracked a solo homer down the right-field line to break up Shields' shutout in the seventh.

Joaquin Benoit replaced Shields in the eighth and allowed a game-tying double to Gonzalez. Yasiel Puig walked with two outs and raced around the bags to score on Gonzalez's two-bagger to right.

In the home ninth with two runners on, Upton blasted a 3-0 fastball to deep center where Pederson ran back and made the catch just before crashing into the wall to end the inning.
