The Texas Rangers agreed to terms with pitcher Dillon Tate, their first round draft pick, on Friday.
Tate, a college junior, was drafted fourth overall out of UC-Santa Barbara last week by the Rangers. The former closer made the conversion to starter this past season and went 8-5 with a 2.26 ERA and 111 strikeouts.

The Rangers also signed six other players, including pitcher Jake Lemoine (4th round) and shortstop Dylan Moore (7th).
