International Star scratched from Kentucky Derby

International Star has been scratched from the Kentucky Derby, leaving 18 horses to start the opening leg of the Triple Crown.

Ramsey Farm made the announcement on its Twitter account Saturday morning.

"I am sad to announce that International Star has a quarter crack in his hoof and has been scratched from the Kentucky Derby," the tweet read.

Ken Ramsey owns the horse with his wife Sarah.

International Star was 20-1 on the morning line.
