National League Game Summary - Los Angeles at San Diego

Andre Ethier had three RBI on three hits, including one of four home runs hit by the Los Angeles Dodgers in an 11-8 win over the San Diego Padres on Saturday night.

Adrian Gonzalez hit a three-run homer and Ethier, Howie Kendrick and Juan Uribe each had two-run shots for the Dodgers, who have won the first two games of the series after being swept in San Francisco.

Justin Upton had two homers and drove in five runs and Wil Myers also homered for the Padres, who have lost four in a row.

Each starting pitcher gave up three home runs. Dodgers right-hander Brandon McCarthy (3-0) left with an apparent arm injury after giving up a second homer to Upton with no outs in the sixth inning.

Padres righty Ian Kennedy (0-1) came off the disabled list and was pounded for eight runs on eight hits and a walk in just 4 1/3 innings. Kennedy had been out since suffering a strained left hamstring in his first start of the season April 9 against San Francisco.

McCarthy beat the Padres on April 8 in his Dodgers debut despite giving up four runs, nine hits and a walk in five innings. He was tagged with six runs on six hits and a walk in this one.

The Dodgers had a 2-0 lead before an out was recorded after Jimmy Rollins hit a leadoff single and Ethier sent a Kennedy fastball into the right-field seats for his second homer of the season.

Another run scored on Carl Crawford's double later in the inning, but the Padres caught a break when Yasmani Grandal was throw out on the play on a close call at home plate. The Dodgers challenged the play, but lost.

Myers led off the bottom of the inning with a homer to left-center, his third of the season, and Upton tied the score three batters later with a two-run blast the just escaped a leaping Ethier at the right-field wall.

Gonzalez teed off on a low slider in the second inning, stroking it inside the right-field pole for his NL-leading seventh homer of the year and a 6-3 lead.

Ethier hit a leadoff double in the fifth and Kendrick followed with his third homer of the season to chase Kennedy from the game. Uribe slapped an opposite- field homer off Chris Rearick into the first rows of seats in right field for his first of the season, making it 10-3.

Yangervis Solarte and Matt Kemp hit consecutive singles off McCarthy to start the sixth and Upton followed with his second homer of the game and fifth of the season. Yonder Alonso greeted Sergio Santos with a triple and scored on a groundout to get the Padres within 10-7.

The Dodgers added a run in the eighth on Ethier's RBI single. Alexi Amarista drew a leadoff walk in the bottom of the ninth and scored on two wild pitches by Chris Hatcher.
