Madison Keys reaches Charleston semis

Rising American star Madison Keys was an easy quarterfinal winner Friday at the Family Circle Cup tennis event.

The seventh-seeded 20-year-old Illinois native blew away fellow American Lauren Davis 6-2, 6-2 in 73 minutes on the clay courts at Family Circle Tennis Center.

The 21-year-old Ohio native Davis stunned top-seeded Canadian star Genie Bouchard in straight sets here on Wednesday.

The Australian Open semifinalist Keys' semifinal opponent on Saturday will be fourth-seeded former French Open runner-up Sara Errani or Czech Lucie Hradecka.
