Atlanta Hawks clobber Phoenix Suns

DeMarre Carroll, Mike Muscala and Jeff Teague all netted 16 points as the Atlanta Hawks ran the Phoenix Suns out of Philips Arena Tuesday night in a 96-69 win.

Muscala grabbed seven rebounds and notched four steals for the Hawks, who have won five of their last seven games. Al Horford added 14 points and five boards, and Kent Bazemore pulled down a team-best nine rebounds in the win.

The hosts had already secured homecourt advantage in the Eastern Conference prior to Tuesday's clash. The win over Phoenix was the team's 58th on the year - a franchise record for a single season.

Gerald Green netted 15 points off the bench to pace Phoenix, which has lost six of its last seven games. Eric Bledsoe chipped in with nine points and five assists, but turned the ball over five times before he was ejected in the third quarter following two technical fouls.

Phoenix entered the contest three games back of Oklahoma City for eighth place in the Western Conference, and 2 1/2 games behind New Orleans.
