The United States women's national team cruised past New Zealand, 4-0, in a friendly match at Busch Stadium on Saturday.
The United States took the lead in the 14th minute when Megan Klingenberg ran on to a failed clearance and hammered a thunderous strike into the upper corner from distance.
The hosts held on to the one-goal lead until the closing stages when they added three in quick succession.
Lori Chalupny doubled the advantage following a short corner as Megan Rapinoe laid the ball off to the 31-year-old defender, who curled it home from 16 yards.
Julie Johnston made it three shortly after by nodding home a cross from Lauren Holiday, and Morgan Brian finished it off thanks to a helper from Sydney Leroux.
The Americans will continue their preparation for this summer's Women's World Cup with a friendly match against Ireland on May 10.
