The San Francisco 49ers and defensive lineman Darnell Dockett have agreed to a contract.
Dockett's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, revealed the news Thursday via Twitter.
"Congrats to the newest Niner!" Rosenhaus wrote accompanied by a picture with Dockett.
Dockett, a three-time Pro Bowl pick, was released by the Arizona Cardinals last week. He missed the entire 2014 season after suffering a knee injury in training camp.
The 33-year-old veteran had spent his entire career with the Cardinals, who selected the Florida State product in the third round of the 2004 draft. He has compiled 459 tackles, 40 1/2 sacks, seven forced fumbles and four interceptions in 158 career games.
