Golden State Warriors hit the road to face Utah Jazz

The Golden State Warriors just won all six of their games on a recent homestand and will play three of the next four on the road, starting with Tuesday's matchup with the Utah Jazz.

The Warriors averaged 118 points per game on the perfect stay in Oakland and handed the LeBron James-less Cleveland Cavaliers a 112-94 loss on Friday. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry scored 24 and 23 points, respectively, with Curry dishing out 10 assists.

Justin Holiday scored 14 points off the bench, Marreese Speights added 12 points and Draymond Green ended with 10 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists for the Warriors, who shot 50 percent from the floor and improved to 19-0 when holding opponents under 100 points.

"Good win for us, we had to fight for it. They played well, shot the ball well," Curry said.

Golden State is first in scoring (109.2), field goal percentage (48.4) and opponents' field goal percentage (41.9).

The Warriors, who have lost three in a row on the road and are 13-4 as the visitor, own a 17-5 record against Western Conference teams (8-4 on road) and will host Miami Wednesday before visiting Oklahoma City and Houston.

Utah went 1-2 on its recent road trip and dropped a 97-82 decision against the Rockets on Saturday at the Toyota Center.

Trey Burke and Enes Kanter scored 16 points apiece and Derrick Favors recorded 15 points to go along with seven rebounds for Utah, which committed 31 turnovers for 38 Houston points. The Jazz, however, are first in the NBA with only 11.7 miscues a game.

"You can't turn the ball over that much and expect to win," Burke said.

Burke is averaging 19.2 ppg in his last six games.

The Jazz, losers in five of the last eight games, have a 6-11 record in Salt Lake City and will welcome the Los Angeles Lakers to town on this brief stay.

Golden State registered a 101-88 victory over Utah at home on Nov. 21 and the two teams will meet again Jan. 30 and March 21. The Warriors are riding a five-game winning streak in this series and have won three of the last four trips to the Beehive State.
