The Los Angeles Clippers have been dominant on this nine-game homestand and it will come to a close Sunday afternoon versus the Miami Heat at Staples Center.
The Clippers are 6-2 on the stay and had an easy time with the Dallas Mavericks in Saturday's 120-100 triumph. Blake Griffin was 11-of-15 from the field en route to 22 points and Jamal Crawford scored 19.
Chris Paul recorded his fourth straight double-double, posting 17 points and 13 assists for the Clippers, who made 52.3 percent of their shots and improved to 17-5 at home. Matt Barnes scored 18 points, J.J. Redick had 16 and DeAndre Jordan aided the cause with 13 points and 15 rebounds.
"We ran, got stops and tired them out," said Griffin. "We all moved the ball and got easy shots. Hopefully we can build on it."
Los Angeles is among the top teams in the NBA in scoring (106.8 ppg) and field goal percentage (47.4).
The Clippers will visit Portland on Wednesday.
Miami is only 27th in the league in scoring with 93.8 ppg and opened a 10-day, five-game western sojourn with Thursday's 99-83 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Dwyane Wade scored 23 points and Chris Bosh added 18 for the Heat, who scored 35 points in the second half and shot just 37.7 percent for the game. The Blazers trailed 48-43 at halftime and opened the third quarter on a 17-3 run.
The Heat eventually trimmed the deficit to 78-69, but the Blazers pulled away.
"We've seen this movie before," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said.
Spoelstra's squad has lost five of the last six games and dropped to 8-9 on the road this season. The Heat are 4-9 against teams from the Western Conference and will also make stops in Los Angeles, Golden State and Sacramento on the trek.
Miami is winless in its last three road games.
The Clippers defeated the Heat, 110-93, on Nov. 20 in South Beach and were led by Paul's 26 points and 12 assists. Griffin also scored 26 points and Bosh countered with 28 in that one for the Heat, who had their three-game win streak in this series stopped.
LA has prevailed in five of the last six games as the host versus Miami. The Heat are 32-20 all-time against the Clippers (14-12 in LA).
