The Milwaukee Bucks have signed veteran forward/center Kenyon Martin to a 10-day contract.

Martin was the first overall pick by the Nets in 2000 and played with current Bucks coach Jason Kidd from 2001-04 in New Jersey and again with the Knicks in 2012-13.

"Kenyon provides some needed depth to our front court and brings an additional veteran presence to help develop our young team," said Bucks general manager John Hammond in a statement Friday. "He has always been known for his tough- minded, physical approach to the game and we're excited to welcome him to the Milwaukee Bucks."

Martin last played for the Knicks in 2013-14, appearing in 32 games. He owns career averages of 12.5 points and 6.9 rebounds in 746 games with the Nets, Nuggets, Clippers and Knicks.

The Bucks opened a roster spot by waiving guard Nate Wolters, who averaged 2.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 11 games this season.

"We appreciate everything Nate gave to the Bucks both on and off the court," said Hammond. "We know we will see him again in the NBA and wish him well in the future."
