New York outscored Denver by a 31-8 margin in the second stanza. The home team went 12-of-22 from the field in the period, while holding the Nuggets to 1- of-16 shooting.
Arron Afflalo ended with 18 points for the Nuggets, who fell to 2-7 on the young season. Ty Lawson had 17 points and nine assists.
