LONDON, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Brooklyn Beckham, eldest son of soccer star David Beckham, has reportedly snubbed Manchester United to sign with Arsenal football club in London.

The 15-year-old soccer protege had the club sign him for the rest of the season before Manchester United or Chelsea could. The snub towards Manchester was surprising as it was once David's team. However, the 39-year-old soccer player and model trained Arsenal two years ago to keep in shape.

"Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played," a source at Arsenal told The Daily Star. "He has had other teams sniffing around and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club. Arsenal realizes he can be a huge talent. They have see that potential and protected their asset."

The legacy won't stop with Brooklyn. Both Romeo and Cruz are also players in an under-13 team and an under-10 team respectively. They also salute their mother, Victoria Beckham, with modeling gigs with big English names like Burberry.
