American League Game Summary - LA Angels of Anaheim at Seattle

Austin Jackson hustled down the first-base line and his final lunge toward the bag kept the Seattle Mariners in the AL wild-card chase heading into the final day of the season.

Brad Miller scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning and the Mariners edged the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 2-1, in the middle test of a three-game set on Saturday night.

The Mariners, who were unable to take advantage of a bases-loaded, no-out situation in the ninth, struck in the 11th.

Miller lined a one-out double down the right-field line off Mike Morin (4-4) and Chris Taylor blooped a base hit into center to put runners on the corners.

Vinnie Pestano came on for Morin and Jackson bounced one to a drawn-in Grant Green at second. Green went to second for the force out, but Gordon Beckham's relay throw to first was a tad too late.

Seattle is one game behind Oakland for the AL's final wild card spot. The A's lost to Texas earlier Saturday.
