HOBE SOUND, Fla., Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Greg Norman got into a bit of a tussle with a chainsaw that even a great white shark couldn't handle and ended up with what appears to be a pretty serious injury.

The Australian golfer -- AKA The Great White Shark -- posted a photo of himself in a hospital to Instagram on Saturday.

"Working with a chainsaw ALWAYS be respectful of the unexpected. I was one lucky man today. Damaged, but not down & out. Still have left hand," he wrote in the caption.

He seemed to rebound fairly quickly, posting another photo on Sunday "at the scene of the crime" and wearing some sort of protective device over his injured hand.

The extent of his injuries wasn't immediately clear.
