Formula One's governing body, the FIA, confirmed its calendar for the 2015 Formula One world championship season, which includes a record-matching 20 races and the return of the Mexico Grand Prix.
The FIA announced next year's schedule following a meeting of its World Motor Sport Council in Beijing this week. The season will begin on March 15 in Australia and conclude on Nov. 29 in Abu Dhabi.
The Mexican GP, which has been scheduled for Nov. 1, one week after the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, will take place at the same circuit which hosted the country's last grand prix in 1992 -- Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City.
One year ago, Mexico, along with the Korean Grand Prix and the Grand Prix of America in New Jersey, had been included in the provisional calendar for the 2014 F1 season but were cut from the confirmed calendar that was released in December.
This year's 19-race calendar included the return of the Austrian Grand Prix, which was won by Mercedes' Nico Rosberg on June 22, and the inaugural Russian Grand Prix, scheduled for Oct. 12 in Sochi, Russia.
