Rockets keep Garcia

The Houston Rockets have re-signed swingman Francisco Garcia to an undisclosed contract.

Garcia was an unrestricted free agent this summer after spending the 2013-14 season with Sacramento and Houston. He joined the Rockets in a February trade with the Kings and averaged 6.4 points with 1.3 rebounds in 18 games after the deal.

The Louisville product increased his production in the playoffs against Oklahoma City, averaging 10.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in six games, three of which were starts.

Garcia has averaged 8.0 points and 2.6 rebounds in 535 games with the Kings and Rockets. He was selected by Sacramento with the 23rd overall pick of the 2005 NBA Draft and was the longest-tenured King before being traded.
