USC outside linebacker Jabari Ruffin will miss the upcoming 2014 season after tearing a knee ligament in practice on Sunday.
Ruffin, a redshirt sophomore, was competing with Quinton Powell for a starting job during fall camp. The four-star recruit had 22 tackles and a sack while playing in 13 games in a reserve role for the Trojans last season.
