Brittney Griner of the Phoenix Mercury and Allie Quigley of the Chicago Sky were named the WNBA's Players of the Week on Monday.
Griner won the Western Conference honor for a second time this season, ending a four-week run for Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore. Griner had a block at the buzzer to help the Mercury beat Moore's Lynx on Saturday in a showdown between the league's best two teams.

Griner averaged 15.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 5.3 blocks during the week and also broke the WNBA single-season mark of 114 blocks set by Margo Dydek in 1998.
Quigley received the award for the first time after leading the Eastern Conference with 18.0 points over a three-game stretch.
