Marlins' Jennings exits after getting hit in head with line drive

Miami Marlins reliever Dan Jennings left Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates after getting hit in the head by a Jordy Mercer line drive.

Mercer's quick liner with one out in the seventh inning gave Jennings no time to react. The ball hit the side of Jennings' head, knocking the pitcher to the ground before it was caught by shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria. Jennings struggled, but got off the ground and walked a few feet before collapsing to his knees. He remained conscious, but seemed disoriented.
