Vikings sign Crocker

The Minnesota Vikings signed safety Chris Crocker and waived defensive end Rakim Cox on Monday.

Crocker spent the last six seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. In 12 games last season, he recorded 37 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks and two interceptions.

The 34-year-old Crocker has played the last seven seasons with Vikings coach Mike Zimmer while he was the defensive coordinator in Atlanta and Cincinnati.

In 151 career games with the Browns, Falcons, Dolphins and Bengals, Crocker has notched 554 tackles, 14 1/2 sacks, 60 passes defensed and 15 interceptions.
