Blazers' Robinson has thumb surgery

Portland Trail Blazers forward Thomas Robinson underwent successful surgery Tuesday to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb.

Robinson sustained the injury during a game against Atlanta in the Las Vegas Summer League on July 15. The third-year pro is expected to be able to participate in the Blazers' September training camp.
