The Nashville Predators have signed center Mike Ribeiro to a one-year contract worth $1.05 million.
Ribeiro notched 16 goals and 31 assists for 47 points in 80 games for the Coyotes last season and has also played for Montreal, Dallas and Washington in a 14-year NHL career.
"Mike is a talented veteran center who has produced offensively everywhere he has played," said Predators president and general manager David Poile in a statement Tuesday. "We have done our due diligence and believe Mike has a lot to offer to our team, improves us at our center ice position and will fit in with our group and contribute."
Ribeiro has 202 goals and 454 assists for 656 points in 865 regular-season games since breaking in with the Canadiens in the 1999-2000 season. He spent parts of six seasons with Montreal, played six years in Dallas and one with Washington before his only season in Arizona.
The 34-year-old Montreal native was an NHL All-Star in 2007-08 when he set career highs with 28 goals, 56 assists and 83 points for the Stars. He has six goals and 21 assists for 27 points in 49 NHL playoff games.
