Veteran small forward Paul Pierce will sign a two-year contract with the Washington Wizards, according to ESPN.

Pierce will reportedly join Washington on a full mid-level exception worth $11 million over two years. He can opt out after the first year.

A 16-year veteran out of the University of Kansas, Pierce spent the first 15 years of his career with the Boston Celtics before spending 2013-14 with the Nets. He was traded to Brooklyn last summer and averaged 13.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in his lone season in black and white.

Pierce, a 10-time NBA All-Star who earned Finals MVP honors in leading Boston to a title in 2008, agrees to sign just hours after last season's starting small forward Trevor Ariza agreed to a deal with the Houston Rockets.
