The New York Mets signed outfielder Michael Conforto, the club's first-round pick in the 2014 First-Year Player Draft.
Conforto, who bats left and throws right, was the 10th-overall player taken in this year's draft.

The 21-year-old hit .345 with seven home runs and 56 RBI in 59 games this season as a junior for Oregon State University.
Conforto won the PAC-12 Conference Player of the Year award two years in a row and became the first three-time All-American in school history.
