Sabathia gets MRI on swollen knee

New York Yankees left-hander CC Sabathia underwent an MRI on his right knee Thursday.

Sabathia, who made his last start on May 10, woke up on Thursday morning with swelling in his knee following a 3 2/3 inning rehab start for Double-A Trenton on Wednesday.

After giving up an MLB-worst 112 earned runs last season, Sabathia has allowed at least four in five of his eight starts this season for a 5.28 earned run average.

There is no timetable for Sabathia's return.
