WASHINGTON, July 2 (UPI) -- The USA's heartbreaking 2-1 defeat to Belgium at the World Cup Tuesday didn't stop Twitter users from celebrating goalkeeper Tim Howard's defense with the viral hashtag #ThingsTimHowardCouldSave.
Howard was the star of the match after he saved a record 16 shots. The goalkeeper's name has been trending on social media since the match and one creative Internet user even made him the secretary of defense on Wikipedia.
According to Twitter users, #ThingsTimHowardCouldSave include major historical catastrophes, a sci-fi apocalypse and Ned Stark's head on Game of Thrones. One fan even threw in Luis Suarez's biting problem.
